Jill Eastman
Jill Eastman is an IT consultant in the banking and finance industry. She
is the proud mom of 3 active boys. The Eastman family owns and operates
Black Diamond Ranch, a small local certified organic farm. Jill volunteers
her time as treasurer for La Leche League of San Diego and serves on the
area council for LLL of Southern California/Nevada. After losing their home
in the 2007 wildfires, Jill became active in Fired Up Sisters as a way to
connect and to give back to the community that has been so supportive. She
is currently serving Fired Up Sisters as warehouse manager. Her husband
Jim, also an IT consultant, is rebuilding the family home in Highland
Valley.
Norma Heeter
Norma Heeter is a retired high school Spanish teacher, having taught a total
of 39 years in Ohio and in San Diego, CA. She retired in 2005. She is
currently president of the San Diego Education Association Retired
organization and is also president of the Corvettes of San Diego car club.
Her husband, Paul, retired in June of 2009. Norma and Paul have
a daughter and son-in-law, Lesli and Jeff Miller, and two grandchildren,
Christian and Courtney. Norma is active in the Fired Up Sisters and is
serving as secretary for the Board of Directors. Norma and Paul lost their
home in the 2007 wild fire, but have been in their home for a little over a
year. They are enjoying their Corvette Club activities and traveling with
other teacher friends from Ohio.
Janice Strizver
Janice is an east coast transplant of 30 plus years.
She is a wife and mother of two adult sons. Janice graduated
from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree and is currently a
registered nurse at UCSD Medical Center. She has served for seven years as
head of the Evangelism Board at Ramona Lutheran Church, is an active member
of the Ramona Chamber of Commerce, and is founder of the Ramona "Swap and
Shop" for 2007 fire survivors. Currently, Janice is the
donations coordinator for the Fired Up Sisters warehouse.
